I have been here with my brother 2 weeks ago. The owners are a lovely couple, they have their farm so many of the ingredients are really fresh and tasty. The service is fast, and the wooden fire it is a plus. Big selection of pizzas and you can also ask to change the ingredients if there is something that you don't like. The pizza is very light, not heavy to digest. They use a local flour (not an italian one) and this make it taste different from a classic italian pizza (I am italian and I worked in a pizzeria and I cook pizza by myself experimenting with different flours and cooking methods), but the taste is good, and the dough is crispy (I suppose they use a low protein flour/soft wheat flour). Kinari Pizza is the BEST in Japan! My husband and I stumbled onto this wonderful place while enjoying a day in Nara. We had been craving pizza for a while since moving to Kyoto and were never fully satisfied until we ate here! The owner is warm, friendly, welcoming, and a master pizza chef! We ordered a Margherita pizza and a vegetable pizza, which used vegetables locally from Nara. Wow! They were both some of the freshest, most delicious pizzas we’ve ever had, and we’ve eaten A LOT of pizza from all over the world. Kinari Pizza also offers homemade garlic oil and hot sauce to drizzle over your pizza and they were simply amazing.
