I think I found a café that belongs in a Wong Kar-Wai film. Located on the second floor of a nondescript small building, everything inside is a throwback to an earlier time, from the classical music LPs, to the European-style cups, and even the furniture. I’m drinking my café au lait while listening to Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 in a minor Op 56. The coffee is not good, but I keep expecting someone in a suit to come inside and order an drink while contemplating an unrequited love or impossible affair. (July 2019)

The coffee is served in the most beautiful cups and saucers. It paired perfectly with the toast and cheese. The cheese was melty and stringy on top fluffy bread.
