It is located inside Grancha store on the 1st floor, and the specialty of the restaurant is Matcha Daifuku Mochi. I ordered the "All kinds of Kuchifuku Mochi with Yamato Matcha drink set", and my mom ordered the "4 kinds of mini Mont Blanc with drink set". The mochi's and mont blanc's were absolutely a must-try whilst you are in Nara prefecture. My personal favorites are the matcha number 5 (darkest) and the hojicha flavor for the mochi, and the matcha and sweet potato for the mont blanc.

The little one was sleeping and we wanted a break from walking. As a matcha fan, I have to say this place serves some badass matcha. Pretty affordable and I would recommend the pudding and hot green tea. The mochi balls somewhat did wow me but the difference in flavor was too subtle to differentiate from one another. Nonetheless good to try. Service as usual was good in Japan.

Really lovely desserts. My partner had the chestnut cake with coffee and I had the mochi with tea sets. Both were good. With the mochi set you get to choose the level of sweetness/bitterness of the mochi and I got the most bitter but it was still really nice. If you eat in you have to order at least some food or drink per person.

I got the Matcha Tiramisu set. It was more like matcha-cake, not so much tiramisu. It was still good though! You get matcha dressing to pour on your cake as well as little red beans. It was really filling!

Didn’t know chestnuts could be delicious. smirks I know it’s a normal chestnut, but holyfk it was sweet, not like the Chinese roasted chestnut. It was definitely and had a very nutty flavour to it. It pairs really well with the vanilla ice cream as the cream isn’t very sweet.
