The rice for the sushi is pathetic, it is not normal sushi rice portion as we did not ask chef for less rice. We also cannot taste the wasabi on the sushi which we saw him putting, he put very little like not putting at all. We know there is language barrier but he did not try to interact and explained the food served to us. We went to other Japanese omakase restaurant operate by old couples also try their best to interact and explain their food served. This is the worst omakase experience we had, not worth the price for the quality and quantity. It is better you go supermarket buy the sushi and sashimi which is better.

The latter told me as we seat in the restaurant that he couldn't eat raw fish at all... guess what? he ate all of it. Place and atmosphere are great. The location feels like a hideaway from the Nara crowds that swarms the park and its vicinity. In a charming allley, you find this inconspicuous traditional looking home that is the restaurant. The sushi are made by a female chef that will showcase her skills right in front of you. The quality cannot be questioned, the taste is worth it and, cherry on top, the selection of softs is way above the standard.

姉妹で営まれている、ならまち鮨はなこさん。 近鉄奈良駅から徒歩15分ほどのところにお店があります。 カウンターのみの店内はすごく雰囲気が良く、落ち着いて食事がいただけます。 はなこさんはミシュラン店でもお寿司を握っておられたそうですよ✨️ 人気店なので予約必須です。 この日の内容はこんなかんじ↓ ○お造り ・イサキの炙り ・イシダイ ・ホオズキ イサキもイシダイも新鮮でどちらもめちゃ美味しい。 特に炙りは風味がすごく良くて、もっといっぱい食べたかった〜笑 ストロベリートマトとも言われるホオズキはとてもジューシーかつフルーティー✨️ ○サクラマスの西京焼き 身は柔らかく脂が乗っていて美味しい〜 ○和歌山の鰹 海苔醤油 大根おろしと海苔醤油と全て合わせて頂きます。 かつおの香りが良いです。 さっぱりしていて、こんなのいくらでも食べれちゃうやつ。 ○毛ガニ たっぷりの毛ガニの上には大粒のいくらが乗っていてめちゃくちゃ贅沢。 美味しくないわけないっ ○甘鯛昆布締め むちっとした甘鯛、美味しすぎる〜 ○剣先イカ びっくりするくらいイカが甘いです。 イカなのに口の中でとろけるような感覚。すごい✨ ○漬けマグロ 間違いないやつです。 赤身が美味しい。 ○鯵 ほどよく締まった鯵は臭みもゼロ。 浅葱と共に。 ○エビ こちらもめっちゃ甘い〜 濃厚な甘みが口の中に広がります。。 ○トリ貝 シャキシャキとした食感が楽しい1品。 ○マナガツオ 初めて食べたのですが癖なく美味しい！ 炙ってあるので風味もとても良く、身も柔らかい。 ○ホタテと菜の花の茶碗蒸し 春を感じる茶碗蒸しです。 ホタテも甘い。 ○ウニ 臭みやえぐみの一切ないウニでした。 口に入れるととろけて無くなってしまう、、 美味しかった〜 ○車海老 身がぷりっぷりで甘い車海老。 ○煮アナゴ 本日のベストでした。 今まで食べた煮アナゴの中で1番美味しかった！ とにかくふわとろのアナゴは歯がいらないくらいの柔らかさ。 記憶に残る美味しさでした☺️ ○芽ネギのネギトロ 芽ネギの風味と鮪の組み合わせは間違いないです。 めちゃ満腹でしたが、ぺろりと食べきっちゃいました。 ○あおさの味噌汁 たっぷりのあおさが入っています。 締めにぴったり。 すごく丁寧にお寿司を握っておられて、出てくるお料理はどれも美味しくて大満足でした。 味付けも好みで、お寿司によくある食後にすごく喉が渇くというようなこともなく、その点も個人的にはオススメポイントです。 また違う時期にも伺ってみたいな。 ご馳走様でした。
