I have ordered みそカツ定食 (Miso Cutlet Set Meal) which cost ¥880 (including tax), the portion is just nice and it come with 1 free refill of rice, they serve you free hot/cold tea as well! The lady boss/staff is very friendly and attentive. Although she knows little English, however she tried to communicate with me. *there is no English menu, however it is not an issue as you can use “Google Translate” *it is a bit hard to locate as it is in the Basement 1 level of the train station (see picture of the store front)

この近くの陶芸教室の方から「ここは間違いなし」と強くオススメして頂きました。店内は昔ながらのあたたかい雰囲気で、女将さんも忙しいながらとても丁寧な接客でした。そしてどの料理を食べても本当に、身に沁みるような美味しさです。居酒屋であるのに関わらず塩辛すぎず、丁度よい加減の塩梅、何よりほっとする出汁の味は素晴らしい。最後の温そばまで楽しませて頂きました。「ここは良いお店だな」、と思わせる要素が全て揃っていると思います。奈良へ立ち寄った際は是非、またお邪魔させて頂きますね。ありがとうございました。

Warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere! We went there as two non-Japanese-speaking tourists and the host was very nice to us. She even took time to show us pictures and gave us postcards to bring back home. We loved the food and sake, with my wife especially loving the umeshu, and we swore we will go back next time...
