【Deliberately gave fake change to foreign customers & racism 】『外国人は騙されました』

We visited this cafe on May 23, 2025, and spent 2,996 yen. We are foreign, and at the time, we were wearing traditional kimono, which made movement difficult. We were quietly taking photos during our visit (with prior permission from the shop owner), and there were only three groups of customers inside.

After paying with a 5,000 yen bill, the female owner gave us a fake 500-yen coin as change — in fact, it was a 10 TWD (Taiwanese dollar) coin, which is worth only about 48 yen. We are absolutely certain it came from this store, as it was the only cash transaction we made that day.

This behavior is extremely upsetting. We believe the owner deliberately cheated us because we are foreigners. Please think twice before visiting this place. We do not recommend this cafe to...

The most delicious sandwiches! It was later lunch time so the place was quiet but the people were very friendly & set us down to comfy tatami mat floor seating. A choice of 3 sandwiches and desserts, we had a yuzu soda, pork sandwich and the egg sandwich. They were delicious, fresh and so satisfying. Super cute café with a tatami style seating area. The drinks and cakes they have are really fun! I had a latte with super cute latte art and the banana cake. The latte came with the cutest sakura design spoon. The people working here are really nice and welcoming too.
