Read moreBeen to Osaka and found this restaurant on google close to our hotel. On arrival we were directed to sit outside covered with a plastic shelter, extremely hot. When we asked to change to another table where the fan was, we were rejected on the basis that the table was meant for 4 pax. But very soon later, they gave the table to a party of 2 as well who were Japanese. Food was very bad, their house special beef was badly done, as hard as stone. The sashimi was not fresh, fried chicken was very dried. When asked for the bill, we were told to pay ¥450 cover charge per pax but to our consternation we were also charged with a 10% service charge. Been to many restaurant in Osaka, Tokyo, Kobe and Kyoto, no such service charge and if there was, there will be not cover charge. It is obvious they were blatantly taking advantage of us, the tourists and foreigners. Do not believe in those good reviews. Whosoever who goes will regret. I have never once given such a bad review, this...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant on our last night in Japan. Unfortunately, for the first time in our 16 day trip we felt that we had been treated differently because we were tourists. We sat at the bar and ordered 3 dishes and 2 glasses of wine. The waitress then brought us what we thought was a complementary starter. We enjoyed the food we had ordered and then asked for the bill. There was an unexpected charge of 900yen. When we queried this, we were told it was because of the extra dish. When we pointed out that we had not ordered the extra dish, she said it was a table charge. We were not at a table and had not been told about this beforehand. It added a significant amount to the bill. We were left feeling disappointed as we had not experienced this in Tokyo or Kyoto. This did not seem to happen to other customers. If you are a tourist, just be aware that this, sadly, may happen to you at this...
