This restaurant has a bunch of fake 5 star reviews, and it’s so obvious that it’s fake because the pictures of the food are constantly recycled between each review.
My friends and I were visiting from Canada and oh boy this was the worst restaurant we’ve been to this entire trip.
First of all, service is ridiculously slow. I can’t blame it all on the server as there was only one for the entire restaurant - I suppose they were short staffed?
Leading into my next point, because the service was so slow, the food came out in small portions in about 20 minute increments. With the 2 hour seating limit, we didn’t even get to eat our money’s worth. The server made us do a last call way before the seating limit time was up, and some of our friends didn’t even receive their ice cream at the end because she said “too bad, you missed the last call.”
Next, the portion of each plate was SO small. For reference, we had a table of 4 people and ordered lettuce. We only received 2 pieces of lettuce within the first 40 minutes of ordering. Took some more time to get an additional order.
The food itself was below mid. Meat was rubbery and not tender at all. It was actually very difficult to chew. Flavour was lacking.
We had to ask 3 times for water, at first the waiter said she wouldn’t give us water until we picked a mandatory drink.
All in all, I would suggest all foreigners, and locals for that matter, to choose another yakiniku restaurant. And to look at the reviews carefully to scout out any fake reviews. WOULD...
Read moreI had a meal here in 2023. All of a sudden I just remembered this restaurant on a Sunday night and googled it. I’m so surprised that it has a 4.1 rating here. I’m so sorry to say that, but it’s the worst meal I’ve ever had in Japan, so bad that I had to give it a 2-star review 2 years later.
I don’t remember the details, I just remember the meat looks bad and does not taste good. This is the first time in my life that I know that Wagyu can taste bad too… I’ve been to Japan multiple times and it’s really the only bad meal I’ve had.
To be fair, I don’t remember much details, but the service seems quite normal. Not as bad as what I’ve seen on other comments.
I saw it’s still running after two years, hope the restaurants can keep improving and serve...
Read moresmall and cozy - perfect for a first time yakinuku experience as a foreigner! My husband speaks some Japanese and the staff was very accommodating to speaking both Japanese and English (with the help of google translate every now and then). I think we paid around $70 for 2 people to have all you can eat and drink for 90 minutes. Everything tasted amazing and the drink selection was self-serve with tons of options (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). FYI - look at the google pics to figure out the outside of the shop because the name on google is an English translation that isn’t physically...
