WARNING - Severe food poisoning 警告-重度の食中毒

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn any others planning on coming to this restaurant. The seafood was not fresh.

3 about a five members of our party ended up with severe food poisoning and had to be hospitalized and treated with antibiotics and intravenous.

We are very fortunate that the oldest member of our party my grandmother of 90 years didn't eat enough of the seafood to feel ill, but a week later and we are all still sick and lying in bed.

We ordered Wagyu, which they touted as their specialty, but was burnt around the edges and quite dry.

We also ordered the smoked salmon among other dishes which had a very fishy smell that they attempted to cover with some vinegar lemon and red onions. It must have been quite old and the young chef thought he could cover up the smell.

I've never been this sick in my life. I've been throwing up day and night for three days and finally went to the hospital.

This restaurant is listed on the Michelin guide so I thought I would be a safe option to bring my family. Boy, was I wrong.

Aside from the food poisoning the taste of the food was just so-so. We ordered salads which were pretty simple and some fried unagi pastries that lacked flavor and texture. The unagi didn't seem very fresh either.

Maybe back in the day this restaurant felt motivated, enough to earn a place on the Michelin guide, but now it is far from it. The kitchen is quite messy and the ingredients are far from fresh.

The chef looks young. If things are not fresh you should just throw them away. If your customers get sick from your cooking you will not have a good reputation. If this were in the United States, I would be pressing legal action for the amount of suffering I've been through this week, but since we are in Japan, we'll just let it go this time.

But regardless I still feel compelled to write a warning to anyone who wants to come to this restaurant. Make sure the ingredients that you are getting are fresh unless you want to end up on the toilet all day and all night for a week.

Food is ok, but very bad service. Visiting from Australia. Quaint suburban eatery. Found this restaurant from the reviews. It didn’t let us down. Food was delicious and service attentive. Good wine. Very reasonably priced for quality. Aircon kept switching off which made it a bit warm at times. Used our hotel to make reservation which was easier than online booking system.
