I really wanted to like this cat cafe, and the staff were very friendly, but the cats were not really that friendly at all, they only really come over if they want food or if they want to sleep on your legs, and don't seem to like being stroked.
Also, a lot if not all of the cats seemed to have been declawed or had their claws badly cut/trimmed. A lot seemed to have trouble walking or deformed paws [too spread out from trying to walk with no claws] and this could be one reason they're not very friendly, as declawed cats often develop behavioural problems.
There are also signs and information warning people to not touch one cat in particular [a white and ginger cat called Manta] because he bites, which is often what cats resort to doing if they have been declawed, because they have no other form of self-defense.
One also peed on the blanket I had on my legs, which could also have been due to being declawed as small particles [such as those in litterboxes] can irritate the paws of declawed cats, whereas a blanket is soft with no small particles.
If the cats had not been declawed, I think both the cats and the customers...
Read morePeaceful and comfortable cafe. There was soothing music and the premise was very clean and fragrant! The owners were very friendly and tried their best to get the cats to interact with the customers. Cats would come over to sit on your blanket however it takes time ! It does help if you have a treat on hand! Their cats are declawed and you don’t have to worry about getting scratched. But then, being declawed makes the cats stressed too as they feel more vulnerable. Try to wait for the cats to sit on your lap before giving them gentle pats. Avoid the belly and tail region. The package with a drink and cat treat is recommended! My favorite was the British shorthair (white and beige) with yellow eyes Feel free to take as many photos as you’d like! Pls put your shutter mode on silent though as it would disturb other sleeping cats. Go early at noon before the cats get...
Read moreThe cats were very keen on sleeping on my lap and I had 2 cats on my lap at one point. The munchkin cat was very cute and friendly, good with touching or stroking gently. The orange scottish fold (not Manta) came first on my lap and did not like being touched at all. As my legs were getting a little stiff and heavy from the cat, I tried to reach for my feet to stretch a little but he suddenly bit me. The staff told me not to touch the belly (which i didn't). I'm used to my cat biting me so it was fine but most of the cats there would react when you try to touch them. Only the munchkin cat was friendly and seemed less stressful(?) or less aggressive when I touched it. A bit pricey but if you want to see cute cats, it's a good place. If you want to touch or pet cats,...
