charcoal-grilled Yakiniku Tajima Osaka Honmachi — Restaurant in Osaka

well, how to start... the very worst experience in a restaurant in my two years in Japan and close to the worst in any diner in North America. First the ventilation was not set correctly. which means that my cloth will smell like burnt grease for some time unless treated with good care. Then the service, it seems that you have to complain to get your food delivered. And i'm not talking about the cheapest thing on the menu, we ordered running course for 6500 hen, though we left before half the menu so poor everything was. First it was supposed to be 4500 hen, then after the first courses of cheap meat compared to what you get in Japan, we waited 20 min for the rest that never came. Of course when we left, they asked us to pay for full price.

In the end this was the first time in two years in Japan that I experienced such a bad treatment both in quality and quantity for what we paid.

Perfect Yakiniku!! We stumbled upon this restaurant from one of the blogs, highly recommended by a number of foreigners and locals. We went with the Miyazaki buffet all-you-can-eat-and-drink package including seafood and vegetables. There are few friendly young waiters from Indonesia who can speak fluent English that made the dining experience much more conducive. We started with the platter and ordered another 2 plates of different meats and seafood after that. Portion was perfect. The boss came to remind on last order when close to 90 minutes, which was just nice in time that our stomach was satisfactorily filled. 5713 yen for a pax is not cheap but personally reckon worth the price. Great AYCE bbq place with a large variety of options. Definitely get a reservation if you can, but my party of 6 and I were able to get seated around 6:45 on a Sunday without a problem. They have AYCE at different price points with great quality of meats and seafoods. Once they give you a try of everything part of the set, you can use your mobile device to order more until your time is up! The staff are very attentive and change your grill multiple times to keep you going! Definitely worth a try for meat lovers and those that want the most bang...
