Hokkaido Seafood Nihonichi Honmachi — Restaurant in Osaka

Avoid ordering the Kani-Bukkake Demaki Tamago – it’s absurdly overhyped, and the whole gimmick of the server making you shout “Yoisho” just made the dish feel even sillier. The crab meat was bland, messy, and utterly forgettable — I have no idea what the chef was thinking. The sashimi platter was another letdown, with tuna pieces that looked like scraps and scallop sashimi sliced so thin it was almost see-through. To make matters worse, one of the servers clearly hadn’t washed her clothes or hair; the overnight smell was hard to miss and even harder to ignore. Great option after a long day, had reservations same day, and we got one of those enclosed rooms (2 young kids, who came with their own iPad each, so it was ideal for the parents to enjoy a meal!). High quality seafood, and snow crab. Just minus one star because I wasn’t entirely blown away, but overall high quality experience. Equal locals/business meals and tourists from what I could gather. Food also came out very fast. Heads up: all stairs, and small bathrooms, diapered kid was changed standing up, but they did have kids utensils and they do indeed have a sitting fee for adults. Group of 3 showed up for a late dinner at 1130. Was allowed to order a bunch of food. When the food arrived at 12 we were told the restaurant was closed and they kicked us out. No warning. No take away box. Forced to pay and had no recourse. This is the worst Japanese experience we had in coming to Japan every year for the past five years. It's a shameful restaurant. We are ashamed to have been foolish to come here. Please do not ruin your trip...
