NOT DEDICATED GLUTEN FREE!! granola contains barley. *edit: as you can see by the cafe's reply, they have a poor understanding of the definition of 'gluten-free' , which is not at all the same as wheat free. The cafe should probably be renamed, if they want to keep offering gluten-containing ingredients....
I am a person who appreciates honesty and transparency about ingredients due to the severity of my condition, and I find this to be seriously disappointing. I understand that celiac is not common in Japan, but the words 'Gluten free' do not lose their meaning when translated.
If you are a person with celiac who wants to avoid cross contamination, I recommend you look for other options.
original review: I got a plain black coffee. it was fine, but the staff struggled when i told them (both in japanese and via goog trans) how to help keep my coffee from being cross contaminated. if you are gluten free by choice, im sure this is a great place to visit--...

Read moreGreat gluten free place for dinner. Especially loved the cheesecake and the fried chicken and tofu. Also enjoyed the curry and the beef with tomato dish (had lots of tomato, flavor which we liked). The fried foods were really light and didn’t taste anything like the oily fried foods in the US. Dinner portions were on the smaller side. We came at 9pm on a Wednesday and were the only ones there, so it wasn’t crowded compared to many of the other gluten free places in Osaka, which...
