Very good quality sashimi and sushi with very pretty/handsome presentation. Despite the glowing reviews from the mostly (white/Euro/Euro American) reviewers on Google, my party of 4 (ASIANAmerican) found the hospitality (save for the generally pleasant female server) noticeably cold (and at times slightly harsh). Upon being the FIRST to arrive at an empty lunchtime restaurant, I asked if we could sit at the sushi bar but was told repeatedly, "no" (via body language as I do not speak Japanese). If it's standard etiquette for parties of 2 or more to be refused sushi bar service then fair point. But as it was a completely empty restaurant when we arrived and later other LOCALS came and WERE able to sit at the same sushi bar I asked about--it couldn't help but leave a bad taste in my mouth whether this was some subtle form of discrimination. Outside of that, the sushi chefs themselves were rather subdued--not quite cold but certainly doing little to brighten the mood (despite the "glowing" reviews of such behavior on the part of the OTHER reviewers on for this restaurant).
