I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kyushu Ramen Kio Ebisucho, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. This hidden gem offers a delightful blend of mouthwatering spicy ramen and a charming retro environment that takes you back in time. First and foremost, the star of the show was undeniably the spicy ramen. Bursting with rich flavors and a perfect balance of heat, each spoonful was a journey to culinary heaven. The broth, simmered to perfection for hours, is robust and flavorful, with just the right amount of spiciness to tantalize your taste buds without overwhelming them. The noodles were cooked to an ideal al dente consistency, providing a satisfying texture that complemented the broth beautifully. And let's not forget the tender slices of marinated pork that added an extra layer of savory delight to the bowl. This spicy ramen truly hits the spot for any ramen connoisseur. While the food alone is reason enough to visit Kyushu Ramen Kio Ebisucho, the retro environment adds an extra touch of charm to the dining experience. Walking into the restaurant feels like stepping into a different era, with vintage posters adorning the walls, retro furniture, and a nostalgic ambiance that sets the stage for a truly unique meal. The attention to detail is evident, and it adds a sense of authenticity to the overall experience.

We arrived in Osaka on a cold rainy Tuesday. We found this gem and decided to warm up inside. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Char Sui Ramen bowl....in all honesty I'm not a ramen guy...but I figured I should try this it's a signature japanese dish...wow....mind blown....the pork was delicious and melted in my mouth...the broth was not overly salty. This was clearly a known place as I saw a few tourists stumbling in. The service was fast and efficient...My wife asked for a takeout container for her bowl and was shot down hard.... she's an Elaine Benes. I tried to tip and was refused as well..... I'll go back.... perfect for small groups of 4 or less...2 is optimal. Spent about $31 Canadian.

The food rating was overall 3/5. Soup was very thin and lacked base flavour. The noodles started like buckwheat noodles and got softer overtime. (not my preference texture on either) Chashu - 4.5/5 The atmosphere and store cleanliness is good. As some other reviewers mentioned, the menu is very complicated. Owner should try to simplify menu as there is like three different menus with the same item and a heap of other promo posters all around. Workers seemed friendly

I came here twice. I had stayed in Japan for 6 nights and this was the best thing I ate. The ramen is luscious and complex and so satisfying. The gyozas are perfect. The other little dumpling things come with a spiced chilli oil and are arguably better than the gyozas. I really loved it. I did also order the plate of char sui pork which is served somewhere between cold and room warm. It was nice too but I wonder should it be served a touch hotter? Anyway by far the best most satisfying meal I had in japan and it has set the standard for all future ramens in my life. EDIT: Been here a bunch of times now 2 years in a row and it is still the best ramen I have had in japan. Should be...
