Makana Coffee Roasters Tosabori Store — Restaurant in Osaka

This place offers a large selection of muffins, baked goods, and coffee. I tried three chocolate-based muffins and an iced mocha. The iced mocha was great—better than average—though it did have slightly too much milk for my taste. The coffee was smooth and not bitter, which I really enjoyed.

The muffins were interesting. They weren’t very sweet and were a bit bland, but still not bad. I’d recommend trying other flavors instead of the chocolate, but I stuck with the chocolate because I’m a picky eater. I imagine the other muffins are more flavorful.

I wouldn’t say it’s a place to go out of your way for, but if you’re nearby, I’d recommend it for coffee and a light snack. The space is small, so it’s not ideal for sitting down for a long time unless it’s not too busy. The staff was very kind to me as a foreigner, and there’s an English menu. One of the staff members spoke excellent English, which made it much easier for me to understand the flavor profiles of the beans I was interested in.

She was genuinely helpful & took the time to recommend options based on my preferences.
