This place is incredibly popular so I gave it a chance twice, but was really unimpressed. First visit, I ordered an iced tea. I asked them if they had any real glasses because I was avoiding single-use plastic. They said yes, so I ordered my drink and sat down. They brought me my tea, which was in a glass, but they put a plastic straw in it! I was annoyed because I specifically stated I didn’t want any plastic items yet they did it anyway. For how expensive the tea was (¥700!) it was only okay.
The second time, gave them another chance. I ordered a hot tea and a banana bread. I got a set discount which was nice. The tea also came in a large pot that could fill several cups. Also nice! The banana bread was okay. Later I noticed I was late for an appointment and still had most of my teapot leftover, so I went to the counter and and said I wanted to take my tea to go, and asked for a large paper to go cup. They told me to get a paper cup from the water station (???) but those tiny cups obviously wouldn’t hold my whole pot of tea. So I pointed to the large cup and explained again that I wanted a large cup so I could take my tea to go. So they said they would take my tea to the back and do it for me. Okay?
When they handed my to go cup over, they had put it in the smallest cup they had. I could see in the pot that more than half the tea was leftover! I couldn’t do anything because I was already running late, but what kind of customer service is this? It’s so wasteful. And language wasn’t the issue - I speak Japanese and never have issues at other shops when I make similar requests.
The redeeming quality of this shop is the tasteful decorations and seating patio. Good for them for a stylish space, but that doesn’t make up for these experiences. I’m usually a patient person and have worked in cafes before so I get it, but throwing away most of a pot of tea or serving something to a customer they specifically said they were avoiding? That’s not right. Also the prices here are wild!! Most drinks are in the ¥700-800 range.
Needless to say I won’t be coming back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better, kinder, and cheaper cafes...
Read more👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 The place is so overrated!!! It's so noisy and dirty. They don't clean the tablet, glass, windows, breadcrumbs in etceverywhere. The patries are not fresh made, they are so average. Actually, if you order something to eat they prepare in a unhigienic way ( without mask even gloves and the food is prepare near to the place where people wait to pay 😕) In addition, they were so rude!! I understand that they don't know to speak english for that I was clear "NO SODA PLEASE, I CAN'T DRINK SODA - BUBBLES. NO SODA" (Cross the arms) us. In fact, we used the translater and they were very very...

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and were seriously impressed with this little cafe. Meals are made with top-notch fresh ingredients (I had a BLT lunch set), the salads were great, the portions were generous considering it only cost 980円.
The coffee is also excellent.

Went back a second time, but most seats were taken. Our party of four offered to sit outside, but the staff wouldn't let us borrow even one chair from a neighboring table.
This type of thing makes me never want to go back; so I reduced from 5 to 3 stars until they prove they're...
