Had an enjoyable lunch at a reasonable price on a weekday!

Reserved a table online approximately two days beforehand - which was a bit tricky because of the part that required us to leave a Japanese phone number ( and tourists nowadays usually just get a SIM card only for internet right?)

The menu was determined at the moment you made the booking online.

Even though the waiters do not speak good English, one can rest assured that they tried their best to make you feel comfortable with their hospitality and politeness/kind smile. They even tried to utilise translator apps for simple explanation on each of the dishes. The food will then do the rest of the talking itself.

Well balanced flavour Finely calculated portions, you feel just the right amount of fullness in your stomach at the end of the meal. The meticulous setup of utensils/ food was a candy to the eyes.

The whole experience last approximately 2 hrs. Chill, quiet and serene environment.

Seasonal ingredients carefully crafted to show the chef's visions of traditional Japanese cuisine. We unfortunately only spoke limited Japanese but the servers and chef did their best with Google translate to let us know about the ingredients. I was a bit surprised to be charged 1500yen for some kind of water but we only got ourselves to blame with our limited Japanese language. I discovered a hidden treasure that offers distinctive and genuine Japanese dishes in the heart of Umeda (near the Umeda Sky building). Reserving a table can be a bit challenging as it only has limited seats, but I asked my hotel's concierge to assist me, and the experience was definitely worthwhile.
