My stay on September 25 was extremely disappointing. In the morning, I forgot to change the sign from “Do Not Disturb” to “Please Clean,” so my room was not cleaned that day. In the evening, when I passed by the front desk, I simply asked a male receptionist if I could have some bottled water.
His attitude was terrible. He looked displeased and impatiently said, “Only two bottles per night.” Since I didn’t hear clearly the first time, I asked again, and he repeated it in an even ruder tone. I explained, “But my room was not cleaned today.” Instead of showing any understanding, he rudely demanded my key card and finally handed me two bottles of water with obvious unwillingness.
This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced at a Japanese hotel. Isn’t Japanese hospitality supposed to be known for politeness and professionalism? My attitude was not rude at all, and it’s not about the cost of water—I could easily buy some at a convenience store. I only expected a basic service that should come with my stay, yet I was treated like this, which was extremely disappointing.
Even small, modest local hotels are more polite and welcoming than this. The service here does not live up to the standards that a Japanese hotel should have.
Of course, not all staff were bad. The female receptionist who checked me in was very polite and...
Read moreThis is incredible inhospitable hotel. We are family: 2 adults and 1 child 4 years, we have booked 3 nights with breakfast There is wrote breakfast including for all guests in our reservation, but we had to pay for child’s breakfast 1,100. I have discussion with personal, but they don’t help me. I wrote to the hotel, but I don’t have reply. When we arrived, we have only 1 blanket . We asked the second blanket . This problem was solving more than 1 hour. They didn’t want to give us blanket. It’s funny. We travelling a lot and we have always additional blanket. The same we asked the third towel( it is important for next episode) Today I found only 2 towels after cleaning. I called and asked the third towel for my child. Personal offer me to go to reception and take myself. It was 10 pm. It is very strange for 4 stars hotel.
I don’t recommend this hotel if you have children.
After a couple days I decided to add my review. A cleaner take 3 towels and leave 2 towels every day. I have to ask additional towel for my child every day. Breakfast the same every day. Waiting long...
Read moreBooked this hotel as the last leg of my spring trip to Japan. Found out that this hotel was opening the same weekend I was planning on staying there. I checked in on Saturday, which was the day after the hotel opened and needless to say everything was brand new. I was the first guest to stay in my particular room and it was amazing. From the bathroom to the coffee machine - nothing had been used and the room had that new building smell. The hotel is connected to the Grand Green Osaka shopping area and park. You can come from the first floor or through the shopping mall from the second floor and from there you take an elevator to the fifth floor for reception and then another set of elevators to the guest floors. There’s an onsen and spa on the third floor (fourth floor from the guest elevators) and you can look over the park from the infinity pool. There’s an extra charge to use the spa for guests staying at the hotel. Although my stay was limited to a few nights it was great staying at a new hotel and I’ll be sure to...
