The best halal ramen in Japan in my opinion. Food comes piping hot, prices are fair (most other halal places over charge). They have their halal policy clearly written on signboards.
The ramen was glorious. If you usually get spicy, consider getting the King Ramen / White ramen. For the first time, I didn’t need the ramen to be spicy to make it feel like a hearty, delicious meal. So satisfied even without taking the spicy one. So good we returned for a second time the next day.
Like others have mentioned - small space, but so far i’ve never had to queue more than 5 mins to eat here. True Japanese bar seating experience, and we noticed local Japanese eat here too!
Place is a bit hard to find. Go to level 2F (on the JR side/exit 5 of Midosouji line), then look for Pantry- it’s down the pathway directly opposite Pantry. (I think their instagram has some advice on directions in the story highlights too).
Highly recommended!!!! Will be back again before...
Read moreEdit after my 6th visit: all their menus are great and never failed. Light broth or rich broth ramen? They've got you. I've tried almost all of them and still would like to come back. Even their rice menu was tasty and comforting, enough portion for my dinner meal.
It was past lunch time so there was no wait. Located at a skewered or "t-junction" at 2F of the station, from exit 5 of Midosuji line, take the left lane. From the JR East gate, you need to go right way and down 1 floor. Small but compact, can accommodate 11 people at once. The store interior was just like local Japanese store, yet they serve halal food! It made me happy to find them. Even locals were eating there too.
I tried their special rich ramen with large bone (the medium bone was not available). It was so thick, creamy, and oily. Very tasty and rich! But it made me full quickly. So next time maybe I'll try their less-thick broth type. Worth the visit and...
Read moreMy most favorite halal ramen in Osaka had never changed until I tried this one! I ordered Rich King Ramen, a non-spicy ramen, which is actually not my go-to since I have always preferred spicy ramen. This one got me like wow the soup is very rich and the chicken slices are very tender. I will definitely try the beef and spicy one next time!
They also provide a cute guide on how to enjoy the ramen! What I appreciate the most is that, unlike other halal ramen, it is not overpriced. Osaka definitely needs more halal restaurants that are not only muslim-friendly, but also affordable.
Like other restaurant in Shin-Osaka, the place is small. Fortunately, there was no long line when we arrived. As it becomes popular, I bet they will need a bigger space. Also, if you come during praying time, make sure to pray first as there is no praying space.
Overall, this one should be included to your where-to-eat list when you come to Osaka! A...
