The quality of this restaurant crossed the threshold for me to write my first Google review. It is a tiny 7-seater restaurant run by a single 75-year old man who has been running a sushi restaurant for 25 years. His English is extremely limited, but this did not stop him from engaging us in conversation to the extent of his ability. He recommended to us the chef's choice menu consisting of six delicious nigiri. We ordered a thick miso soup which he made from scratch on the spot, and a sea eel roll with cucumber which was delicious. I also ordered a squid legs nigiri on top which was amazing. He surprised us by giving us a complimentary hirame flounder nigiri and some strawberries for dessert at the end. What started as a spontaneous small hole-in-the-wall find ended up in one of the most memorable dining experiences during our week long trip to Japan....

If you want a local experience this is the one. There are 7 seats, it’s super

The place is run by an experienced sushi chef. He makes everything fresh based on ingredients available. He does not speak English but that was not a problem for us. There is now an English menu, which the owner says a British university student helped him make.

The tuna was some of the best we’ve had travelling Japan. You can also order sashimi which isn’t on the menu, it comes as other photos have shown. The fish portion on sushi is generous, it felt premium.

We ordered miso soup and he made it fresh while we waited, it was the best we had against 10 others.

We had a chat with the chef through google translate, he has lots of stories to tell! He started in sushi at 16 and is now 75, working at this venue...

I wanted to really try a specialised sushi restaurant before we left Japan, and this place was the perfect end to our trip. As many reviewers mentioned, the intimate sushi experience with the chef was one of the highlights of our trip.

The quality of the food was great, I don't have too many references for really good sushi, but it was definitely better than what I had before. The Japanse horse mackerel was our favourite, so we reordered it like three times. We also had the crab, which was quite an experience to see the chef preparing it in front of us.

The chef was also very friendly and was very interested in where we are from and how we experienced Japan. Even though we had to keep conversing through Google Translate, it was still a very nice...

A wonderful sushi experience. I went here with my dad during our trip to Japan back in November. The owner of the shop is an elder who has decades of experience as a sushi chef. He is very kind, was making jokes and made it a great experience overall. The fish tasted amazing, some of the best sushi I've had. If you don't speak Japanese, make sure you have a translator because the owner doesn't speak any English, but having a translator allowed us to have a really nice conversation during our evening dinner. I highly recommend this place and will be going back here again in the future.

Fantastic little sushi restaurant. Very lovely owner who has been running this place for 26 years. The quality he is serving is outstanding. And the value for money very good. We paid roughly 10.000 Yen for the two of us. Including a few beers. We tried his omakase and ordered a few pieces and rolls on top. We were hungry after an exhausting travel and expo day. The miso soup was the best we ever had! And the fish was amazing.

This is a great local spot for fresh, casual Japanese food, a welcome change from typical tourist restaurants. While not top-tier sashimi, the seafood is good and the chef, with 25 years of experience, clearly caters to his neighborhood regulars. An English/Korean handwritten menu helps with the language barrier. I had a positive experience, and the chef was even kind enough to overlook a small overpayment.
