During my vacation at Osaka, Japan I went Honolu Ramen since i am a muslim and want to try halal Ramen because i am a Naruto fan. We were 5 people with my children and despite the restaurant was not crowded, there were not enough seats for us and they said us to wait outside. We started waiting outside despite the cold weather but it was normal since the place was not empty. Also the place was not working with reservation, so it was OK to wait. Then a man with a wireless headphone came with a group, first he entered the restaurant and talked with the staff, it was obvious that they know each other, then the man started ordering food from the machine and then the group with him entered inside despite we were the first waiting in the queue. Then i entered and said the staff that we were waiting and they got ahead of us, one of the staff mumbled some japanese words and other said they ordered before our entrance. But we saw everything, things did not happen like that. Despite waiting more than half an hour, i decided to leave withhout saying any more words because they had violated our rights and this is much more important then eating halal food, Allah do not forgive violating people’s right. I do not forgive the people who get in front of us in line and the staff who do not pay attention to the queue. Apart from this, I can say that the behavior of the staff was one of the worst behaviors I have seen during my...
Read moreThis was the second branch of Honolu Ramen that I visited because I didn’t get a chance to taste this halal ramen in Tokyo branch because the queue was crazy and I had to get Shinkansen as soon as possible
Turns out this is the most convenient branch of honolu ramen I think because there was no significant queue when I came here, the place is in quiet neighborhood which is very good. I ordered two bowl of ramen and the taste was so amazing. It match my taste so well, the noodle was cooked nicely, not too soft but not too firm. The broth was very flavourful and complex, which is amazing. Other than that I tried their Gyoza, and it was very good
The staff was friendly, there was only three staff there and because you ordered via vending machine, you have to prepare for cash. Once you’ve decided your food or drink, the ticket will come out and just hand it to the taste and they will make it right away for you
Don’t forget, there was very tiny prayer space for muslim to perform Sholat. It was very useful thing to consider. Overall I enjoyed my food and time here. They also sell instant halal ramen and rice, be sure to buy it as souvenir because the...
Read moreBe careful when men are working. The sisters do an amazing job at greeting customers, taking orders on time, and making us feel welcome.
The men, especially Muhammad Tul-Islam is extremely incompetent, has no manners, has no idea what customer service is, and NO idea how to make the special rich ramen. This is the only halal ramen spot in Osaka and we travelled all the way here just to wait close to 20 minutes to get our food, and when we got the food, it was completely different than the last time we ate there. People who were seated after us received their food before us. We came here on two separate occasions and it was day and night difference in service.
If you want a meal prepared with care and attention. Try your best to come here when the sisters are working because they are responsible for all the good reviews here. The first time we ate here it would have been 5 stars, which is why we made the journey here the second time. This time, it was bad enough that I had to leave a disappointed...
