A great budget hotel right near Den Den town, and 10 minutes away from Namba station. I would stay at again. Room is decently sized with a short hallway inside the room that leads to the main area where a mini fridge, desk and TV await across from the double bed. Shower has good water pressure. They have pjs in the front lobby under a UV light that you can grab as needed. Room cleaning was every 3 or 4 days - don't remember exactly anymore.
Complimentary breakfast is served each morning from 7-9 which a rotation of dishes each day. Most dishes seemed to be some mix of Japanese, Chinese and (a bit of) American cuisine. It was quite good and a nice way to start the day.
The front-desk staff seemed to work 24 hour shifts as pairs and start around noon. The initial pair I checked in with were the same individuals I saw that evening as well as the following morning, but were gone by the afternoon. The staff was largely very helpful. I felt a bit...
Read moreThe hotel is within walking distance from JR Namba Station (about 6 minutes) and right in the middle of 2 Osaka metro stations on the Midosuji Line, Namba (M20) and Daikokucho (M21). Good location. Lots of shops and eating facilities around. ||Nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast from 6.30 till 9.00 in the lounge downstairs. Not the most cosy setting, but still, the Japanese style breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The lobby is equipped with a washing room, vending machines, pc/printer, newspapers,... The rooms are not gigantic, but big enough. Everything you need is available in your room: watercooker, TV, wifi, refrigerator, airco,... Bathroom is as it should be: small, but clean and good shower. Check-in time is quite late (4PM) unless you're a Toyoko Inn Member, than it's 3PM. Check-out is quite early at 10AM, but it appeared to be quite the standard all over Japan.|| If you travel in/to Japan more than once, consider getting the Toyoko Inn member card: earlier check-in and after 10 stays 1...
