I thought I was treating myself to some authentic Thai cuisine, but what I got was closer to a masterclass in portion control. For ¥1,700 total, I ordered the Chicken Green Curry (¥1,300) and Coconut Milk with Tapioca Pearls (¥400). Here’s the breakdown:
The curry: It was flavorful, sure, but where was the chicken? What little protein I could find was mostly fat, cartilage, and skin. The portion was so small I began questioning if I’d accidentally ordered from a kid’s menu.
The dessert: I paid ¥400 for what was essentially a single spoonful of tapioca pearls swimming in coconut milk. No exaggeration — it was gone in one bite.
For scale, I included an Apple charger adapter in the photos. Spoiler: the adapter looked more satisfying than my meal.
If you enjoy overpriced food that leaves you hungry and questioning your life choices, this place is for you. Otherwise, save your money and your appetite for a restaurant that actually serves portions fit for humans.

Read moreAs far as authentic Thai restaurants in a sea of Japanese flavored Thai restaurants, this is pretty dang authentic in it's flavors. The food was all fantastic and the green Curry an absolute recommendation. The flavor was great, though more spicy than any of the Japanese food in... Japan. There was just enough sweet and flavor to the dishes and a good amount of spice. Water isn't free here, so either bring your own or pay a little extra. This is a rather high end expensive restaurant hovering around 1200 yen to 1400 yen per dish, and you'll probably want rice with that as well. If expenses are a problem, there are plenty of other good Thai restaurants to be recommended, but if you can afford it, you can't go wrong here. They also do...
Read moreNice Thai food. Worth the trip to Fukushima and the walk from the station. We went on Saturday at about 7pm and got the last table. There were people waiting out the door when we left. We had 2 beers, a starter (fried spring rolls), 2 mains (pepper shrimp and pad thai) and a jasmine rice. It came to about 5300 yen which is a little expensive but the food was nice and the portions were decent. Only minor complaints are that they don't offer table water (you have to pay 150 yen for mineral water) and all tables seemed to have ashtrays so there didn't seem to be a non smoking section (luckily nobody was smoking while we were there). I would go here again but I would like to explore other thai places...
