Previous location was better as place itself.
Beer is always quite good and we can say cheap. Except some beers which they sometimes fail (as for example barley wine, which is nothing special in my opinion) Most of times is good.
Even recently, in my opinion, quality of beer decreased, we can still say is a good/decent beer.
Food, not bad not amazing. If place get busy then you wait forever. Probably just drink is the best solution. But this is my personal opinion. And, always according my opinion, this is not the biggest problem.
Main problem to me is: the staff there (both kitchen and bar) are not friendly at all. The young girls (part time job i assume) are nice, but the responsible of the bar, and the guy at the kitchen are not friendly. Not at all. Never smile, never say something nice, never try to talk. It’s like you going to cemetery. You are not welcome there.
Maybe they don’t like foreigners. This I don’t know. Or maybe they just mistook their job. Even I am foreigner and they don’t speak English, they know my face and they know I can speak somehow (bad) Japanese. They sometimes talk to others but never to me. So what? Are you racist?
Just have a decent or good beer is not enough to be a good shop. And, sorry to tell you guys, but you are not a good beer bar.
Last point is:
Send your part time job outside, on the stairs during winter to get their dinner, eating by standing up, is miserable. For you and for them. If your worker are happy, they will be nice and also costumer will be happy.
Only Japanese can think send worker to eat their meal like animal is something nice for costumer. I don’t want that. I want to see you care your worker before you care me as costumer. An happy worker will make happy costumer
Treat your worker as human not as animal. This is suppose to come as first. I want to see them sit down and eat their dinner properly.
Recently I started to feel: even I somehow appreciate the beer, I don’t want to go...
Read moreBeer was so so, but the door staff is really horrible. I really wanted to like this place but it is quite possible the worse attributes of how to run a business, how to treat customers and is stereotypical of what many foreigners complain about when traveling in Japan. I often try to defend this kind of behavior and often take the side of the establishment, but this was really too far. Please get rid of that guy or he should learn to make drinking craft beer enjoyable. Really could not understand why he wanted to put us in a corner next to storage then just ignore us until we come to order beer at bar by ourselves. No kind words, so unfriendly. Had 1 beer and left immediately as made us feel absolutely unwelcome. To update from that experience, I wanted to give the beer another chance and tried it at the Japan brewers cup in Yokohama this past February. I still cannot recommend this beer. I will be going back to Sapporo and I do hope that I can try this place again and change my review as I am really not a person to make negative reviews about the beer places that...
Read moreChic but unpretentious beer bar on the 10th floor of a building in North Susukino, near the big ferris wheel. Excellent craft beers from the brewery connected with the bar, as well as solid "guest beers" from Japan and abroad. The small size beer is very small but perfect for sampling, though 600 to 700 yen a pop that could get steep. They are willing to also provide proper little samples of you are hesitant to drop six bucks on a new beer. The food menu looked very interesting but I didn't get to try it as the kitchen shut down somewhat unexpectedly at 1045. Staff were friendly and chatty at the bar. Highly...
