Had dinner for the first time at this restaurant in Hokkaido last night and it was an absolute disappointing experience. Went at around 7.30pm.
Entered the restaurant as first in line with my 2 children and husband. Husband went to the gents and one of their staff (lady with shoulder length hair let down) requested me and my children to stand near their cashier counter to queue while rest of the guests were ushered to queue in an opposite direction as us. I highlighted politely that we are first in queue and she nodded her head rudely and said just queue here.
Subsequently, all 3 groups after me started to get seats and when I asked the staff, one of the spectacled male staff with curly short hair shouted at me to just wait in the queue. We were told repeatedly waiting time is 30 to 40min but other guests behind us got seats when our group size is not significantly different (3 to 4pax).
My children were extremely hungry otherwise if I were alone, I would leave as the service is nil and disrespectful.
After explaining to other staff why they did not manage the queue properly, we were finally asked to queue at the right place (opposite side) and got seated. Not a great start to dinner and mind you, the first female staff who mismanaged this did not even try to rectify the situation and instead avoided serving or walking past our table.
This is the worst dining experience encountered in Japan ever.
Food was nice, zero service as staff needed training and basic manners education. Go if you have super high tolerance and loads of time to waste with these service staff.

Read moreWe are group of 15 pax. I do understand we have separate table and we are good with it. Just the service is TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! Our table ordered a lots of dishes. And the table cannot fit. The serve didn’t help us to arrange to table and ask us to hold it. While eating. Even next table is empty. They don’t allow us to put the dishes beside our table. We are holding the dishes and eat for some times. Behind our table is a small freezer. We placed our dishes on top of the freezer while waiting to finish some of it but get scold by one of the crew. Feels like didn’t respect us at all. By end of the session we are too full, then we ask for take away. The staff said no, then We take out our own bag to take the food in. The crew come and scold said NO. And even pull the bag from us. It’s so so rude. Why even I can’t take the food I’ve paid?!! The crew told us it is the Shop Rules. If there’s so, they should write out or tell us when we arrive. We have order so so many. Why is we cannot take away the food we have already paid?? This is not a buffet restaurant!! THE WORST JAPANESE RESTAURANT...
Read moreWe were there for lunch, 3 of us, ordered 3 meals set plus some BBQ foods. Tables & chairs were cramped and staffs were rude and unprofessional. There’s a grill stove at each table, which took up about half of the table. When 2 meal sets came, we were wondering how they can fit in the 3rd meal set. The staff came with the 3rd meal set and just passed it to us, expecting us to hold it while trying to arrange everything to fit into the small table by ourselves. There were many empty bigger tables around but she insisted we can’t change seats. We even tried to use translator to explain to her, but she simply walked away. Luckily a male staff came over and helped us while one of us was still holding the 3rd meal set on hand!!! Food was just so-so. Given the bad attitudes of the staffs, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The restaurant should really train the staffs much better. While we understand that most Izakaya spaces are tight, but none of those we visited weee these rude and...
