Amazing food, forigner friendly staff and menus, super affordable prices and open from 6pm to 5am! It's a small space, only counter seats. Probably seats 10-12 people. Smoking is allowed if that bothers you.
I was staying around the corner and craving good tempura after a few glasses of wine. This place is on the ground floor of a building and easy to walk past. I arrived arrived 9:30 and got an empty seat. The staff offered me an English menu and I ordered a highball while checking out the menu and specials.
They have a lot of interesting items and I wanted to try everything. I started with assorted tempura. Ordering is per piece and you'll need Google translate to mark off the order form what you want and how many.
I also ordered the roast beef with horseradish, the tamago tamago tamago (egg with uni and caviar), raw oysters, and a spicy soba. Everything was super tasty, good portions, and excellent prices. I would definitely come here again when...

This place is located on the first floor, it says jpnsoba and tempura on the outside.
Open late, tasty, accepts card, and foreigner friendly as long as you have Google translate.

Spicy soba level 10 is pretty spicy. Even after the meal, the spice is lingering and now I need a cream puff.
Food came out within minutes and it wasn’t difficult to get the workers attention.
Would come back if I’m in the area and want something to awaken the tastebuds. They do ask for reviews, but there’s no trade off if...

Food was excellent, tempura was using high quality ingredients. Oden & Soba was tasty as well.
Staff has limited English but will go out of the way to help ; English (& Korean) menus available and they may use a translator app if it helps. Had no problems ordering, and I will be back to eat again :)
Other than me, the rest of the patrons on a Friday night were locals
Do note that there is an otoshi or seat cover charge - I think it's 300Y and for which you'll be server a small appetiser
(for tempura & oden, you can select the assorted option if you're not sure what individual...
