Sapporo Zangi Hompo Sapporo Chicken — Restaurant in Sapporo

We go there last night and we talk to the staff if we can eat and drink, the staff told us we can’t go in only for reservation, if we want we can have a take-out i decline so we walk and find another place but out of my curiosity i ask my wife try to call the store if its available because i saw they have some vacant table for the customer and the staff ask for how many and my wife said for 3 and tell wait for a second, he ask for the supervisor and tell us its available so when we are at the store front we talk to him how come we cannot come in, he tell us theres a reservation and when we call theres available table for us and he explain a lot which we know he’s lying and after that he say sorry so thats ok. Found this place after a quick search for nearby Zangi and was not disappointed! We went around 6pm, and there was no wait to be seated. The waiter noticed our frantic google translating so he kindly grabbed us some English menus :) While we waited for our food, we enjoyed the relaxed, cozy atmosphere of the place. As for the food, it was downright amazing! The chicken was amazingly crispy and tender, the clam miso soup hit the spot, and the beef flake rice was a very yummy interesting side. I got the 2nd おすすめ (recommended) dish on the Japanese menu, the 3 piece chicken set with an omelette. That omelette was probably the best omelette I’ve ever eaten 🤤

TLDR Extremely friendly staff, amazing food, and cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back the next time...

Decided to find a place offering Zangi after some research saying it's a must try in Hokkaido.

Found this in the entertainment district of Susukino and went ahead to try.

We were given the English Menu when they notice we don't speak Japanese. (Plus point for attention to service)

Ordered the one with four different flavours to try all flavours. The chicken was fried well, and remains tender and juicy. The omelette was just alright for us.

The chef came to explain to us the four flavours we are having which is really good service.

Recommended for anyone who would like try the local fried chicken 🐔
