I grew up in Japan, so I have high expectations for my sushi. This is now my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in town. First off, the master speaks a few languages, including English, well enough to explain the menu. Secondly, they accept credit cards - a rarity for a sushi restaurant especially in this town. Thirdly, this is a popular sushi joint - make reservations accordingly, either through your hotel or personally.
Okay, now onto the food. It's no exaggeration that, in my opinion, the texture and taste of the sushi indicates freshness at the maximum level. All food and drinks are served with care, along with an explanation of its origin (i.e. "this is a local octopus" - "this sake was served at the G7 summit"). The beer on tap is crisp. There is simply a focus on excellence that I really appreciate when it comes to the dining experience here.
Finally, the overall price is reasonable. Certainly much, much less than you would likely find in your home country.

It was perfect.
I mean, I am from France, but my blood is from Busan (Korea), so it is hard to satisfy me with some good sushis/sashimis.
For more than 10 kinds of sushi (red tuna/bonite/squid/eel/fish eggs/etc.), and two bottle of sake, while being able to communicate with a master sushi chef who is kind enough to explain what we are eating, it only cost us 10890 yen for 2 people.
To be able to have this experience for only this price, it's doubtful.

The fish is seasonal and so fresh, the ratio of rice to fish is also perfect and the side dishes are also delicious.
Indoors, the space is quite small and if you don’t make reservation you might have to wait a bit but the kindness of the staff...
