What a gem of a find! We had enjoyed many days of Japanese cuisine but decided to switch it up this evening. This place was amazing! There is an English menu — though the food exceeded our expectations given the menu has limited description of each dish. It is evident that they pay significant attention to detail with each dish. Went for dinner @ Nakagawa with my wife. We ordered the Hida Wagyu Fillet dinner set & added on the vegetable soup of the day. Everything is delicious! The steak was the right temperature to our liking 👍 We both enjoyed the dinner very much. The best meal we had in Takayama during our 2 nights stay! Will visit again if we come to...

Absolutely amazing experience. We booked dinner course for two, the chef was kind enough to adjust my menu as I only eat fish. Micheline star restaurant quality food. Amazing combination of Japanese and western cuisine. But without stress and discomfort of overly fancy restaurant. Staff was very sweet and food was absolutely...
