Amazing flavors and food, big menu with many choices. It's bbq style with the grill station at your table. The staff grills the meat for you in front of you so you don't have to do it. It's served with little garniture, vegetables and sides and sauces in individual plates. Basically you have to taste the meat with a combination of those as you like which makes the flavors great because it's not one sided but many flavors.
Only downside was the atmosphere and the fact that no water was served, the menu can also be confusing if it's your first time at this type of restaurant. Went on Thursday night 9 pm and the restaurant was empty. Maybe it could be more lively on other days tho.
Staff knows English enough to have a basic conversation and since they are Korean you can talk to them openly.
Also would be nice to have the staff or documents that explain how to eat it, like for example at some gyukatsu restaurant they have explanations on the brochures that explain how to taste and savour gyukatsu with the different sauces etc. But this restaurant is not very first time friendly, I feel like it was...

The only thing I can put my finger on is the amount of vegetables to meat ratio. (as I'm a meat lover that wants more meat than vegetables, however, for other people the ratio seems just right) it might just have been me that chose a wrong set menu. Furthermore, i would like more marinated options.
The food is great and the place is neat and clean with a nice charcoal grill. (Used gas to start up the charcoal)
Fantastic atmosphere and we received the best service where the waiters did their best to help us along the way despite the language barriers between us.
If need be they will even help you grill your food and guide you on how to properly eat at a Korean bbq 👍🙏
The attached picture is only a part of it... There was even more food after but the atmosphere and taste just made us forget to take...
Read moreBest KBBQ and ssam! Our family was craving something other than the traditional Japanese food and came to K-town in search for some good old Korean food. We stumbled across Hanssam and they did not disappointed.
Would definitely recommend the Ssambap Set Menu. Comes with a tonne of different side dishes, soybean soup, ssam (different styles of salad to wrap meat), steamed egg and cold noodles. We were told they make the noodles in-house which is very impressive 👍 Yook-hwe (seasoned raw beef) which was fabulous too!
Service was great! They cooked the meat for us and was attentive to our needs. Friendly staff and owner.
We will definitely be returning here when back...
