You ever have such bad food you leave your first negative review of a restaurant with your YouTube account like three days later cause you’re still lowkey mad you ate it?? Well that’s me now. Easily the worst samgyeopsal I’ve ever eaten in my life, I mean SHOCKINGLY chewy, that level of chewy where you keep chewing and it stays so solid you start wondering if you should spit it out. Normally I can bite a piece of meat in half - the pieces are always too big for me to fully fit into my mouth - but it was absolutely impossible here. That’s enough for me to never want to come back already, but on top of that they charge like 300 yen for sanchu lettuce and I swear it’s like 3 pieces of lettuce CUT into pieces so small it’s not even possible to wrap meat around it anymore. I really wish I took a photo to show you how comedic it was - they spread the tiny pieces out on a huge plate I guess to make it seem like there was more than there actually was? You can buy a full packet of sanchu for 150 yen at the supermarket. 300 yen for so little cut up so small was pathetic. When we were ordering, we tried to order cheese off their 追加 menu, which they informed us we cannot. Okay, fine, the only way to order cheese with samgyeopsal is to order it the cheese samgyeopsal set I suppose. Inflexible, and I don’t like it, but this is common in Japan so I accept it. However, afterwards we tried to order corn off the same menu and the server looked at us like we had 3 heads. Like he had never even heard of corn before. We had to double check that there was even corn on the menu, and lo and behold there it was. Why even have a menu if you can’t order what’s on the menu? At the very least if we can’t order anything on the menu you offer, try to at least pretend to be apologetic instead of acting like we’re insane for trying to order it. How would we know which items you don’t have, I think expecting menu items to be available when not at all indicated otherwise is pretty normal. We ordered the rapokki expecting there to be a lot of ramen as in the photo, but when it came it was I swear not even half a packet of ramen. The cost cutting was confusing - how is RAMEN where you cut costs?? It’s like the cheapest food item you can buy?? 😭 In general we felt ripped off, the food was bad, the cost cutting was so obvious, and the service was also bad. There are like 10 Korean barbecue restaurants on that street alone, I will certainly be visiting them next time. It’s a shame, because I went here specifically because I’d been here before, and I was with a few people who were here visiting Japan and had requested some Korean barbecue. I thought it was a safe choice to take them, but clearly for one reason or another this place has tanked in quality and I honestly felt really embarrassed I...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend over the weekend. We arrived around 1 p.m. and were surprised at how empty the place was, with only one or two other groups dining inside. We ordered their famous samgyeopsal along with some cheesy spicy fried kimchi rice. The waiter cooked the meat right in front of us, and the experience was delightful! There was also a great variety of side dishes, which they happily refilled upon request. Depending on where you sit, hot oil from the samgyeopsal can splash a bit, so make sure to sit as far from the grill as possible and put on the paper bib...
Read moreI will say that the food was better than I expected. However, the wait staff was a little rude with the starring assl if they've never seen a foreigner before, which is confusing because some of them were foreign. I felt uncomfortable for most of the dinner. Again, the food was good. The service was lacking and rude. We had pork because that's the only meat they service, obviously. The fried rice was good as well as the seafood pancake. The kimchi was amazing as well as some of the stews. I forgot the...
