Delightful cafe tucked away in a cute side street.

The staff were all so warm, welcoming, and patient - they took a good amount of time to explain their various coffees and desserts with a satisfying level of detail.

Their fruit tart (pictured) was absolutely scrumptious. The tart was the perfect temperature - still a little warm - which complemented the fresh fruit and blueberries that were ever so slightly chilled. Having this along with a fresh cup of coffee was the ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Overall ambience was befitting of a neighbourhood cafe e.g., items contributed by frequent customers are on display for guests to take a look at if they desire.

The price tag for a cup of coffee could be considered expensive, however the superb quality of the coffee/food and atmosphere more than make up for that.

I felt in love with this tiny coffee/little restaurant while in Yanaka in May 2018. I felt so blessed it was just behind the corner of our ryokan. Incredible calm and nice atmosphere, open till late compared to other place in the area. The food was great to me as it was exactly what I need at the end of a long day around Tokyo. Cozy, friendly, great food, unique and quiet atmosphere. The dishes are made with care. Note the excellent foam on the cafe au lait. It's a bit hidden away on an alley in the Nezu area of Ueno, which only adds to the charm.
