Dagashibar — Restaurant in Tokyo

Ok this is a bit of looks can be deceiving kind of place. From the outside it looks like a really old traditional japanese bar or izakaya restaurant. It’s got a faded wooden exterior that looks like it’s been worn down over decades etc etc. But inside once we sat down and ordered a beer, we discovered it was actually a bar/restaurant/all-you-can-eat sweetshop. After paying a cover charge of 500yen, you’re allowed to fill a little basket as many times as you want in two hours and gorge yourself of Japanese sweets. I got kicked out 20 minutes before my 2 hour limit because all I did was eat the snacks, like nonstop, I didn't stop. My bottomless pit of an American stomach surprised even me and it definitely surprised the staff. LOLLLL. Like 6 baskets of snacks all together. I definitely got my moneys worth. Awesome hidden gem! Eat all the Japanese candy and snacks that you can stomach and the drinks were good and cheap. Wouldn't go for dinner the food seemed a bit pricey but, can't beat the all you can eat candy deal. Awesome for those of us who wanted to get away from other tourists and get a bit more immersed.
