Dakshin Ootemachi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Went for lunch , got a seat which was very close to each other , it seems you are eating with other person and not with whom you have come.

Major untold and unwritten info , the restaurant does not allow you to spend more than 1 hour , which I was not told about when going inside the restaurant.

I was asked to leave 5 minutes before 1 hour and was told by manager that other customers are waiting for the table which was absolutely a big lie. When we went outside , no one was waiting . I have never experienced such a behavior from any restaurant in Japan since last 7 years here .

The attitude of the staff is not good and hence totally NOT recommended .

The best Desi food that we had in Japan (including Sapporo, Osaka, and Tokyo) by far. Some of the best Desi food I've had in my life. Similar to what you get at nice restaurants in the subcontinent. Incredibly kind staff. Highly recommend the set meals, poori, pakoras, vadas, and masala dosa. EXCELLENT COCONUT CHUTNEY. And vada!! Far better sambar and rasam than what is available at most Desi restaurants in NYC. I don't usually drink the rasam at restaurants (it's just never as good as my mom's), but I finished mine here at Dakshin.
