Stumbled across this hidden gem almost by accident - thought it would be worth a try. Walked in and was greeted with a counter seat and friendly but not overbearing bartenders. Had a negroni and a espresso martini, very good, not bitter at all, appreciated very much. Had a dish that was chocolate with dessert wine in the middle as reccomended by the bartender - really nice, a cheeky way to spend my afternoon. moved onto a highball with Sakura whiskey, it was nice I am glad I tried a Japanese highball. Sparkling wine was very nice, and the bartenders recommendation on a dessert wine was also very successful - sweet but not too sweet, perfect. Highly recommend the smoked goods selection, the cheese pairs well with the scallops and the (recommended by the bartender) sweet corn. All complement each other through interesting contrast.

We sat there for about 30 minutes but we were all experiencing the same problem, we all kept sliding off the seats. We were a group of people of different sizes but it didn't seem to make a difference. The only way to stay on the chair was to use the foot rest attached to the seat, however, if you have longer legs this can get quite uncomfortable for a long period of time. It was a shame because we were intending to stay longer but were just too uncomfortable. I think the issue would have been OK if they had a foot rest attached to the bar as well but unfortunately they didn't have one.
Hopefully, either the chairs get updated or they attach a foot rest to the bar because I would love to go back. Seems to me like it would be a...

Prices are on the higher side, but still...
