We went this evening, taking the omakase course which was a great choice. Our first fugu experience won't be our last, that's for sure.
We were greeted in an extremely friendly manner on entering by a member of the team who spoke extremely good English. The vibe of the restaurant is lovely, somehow the layering of the sounds, lighting, volume of the light music and such is really perfect. Some great decor touches with typography on the walls.
The food itself was both delicious and beautifully crafted. Lots of subtlety, and just a general attention to craft was much appreciated. The numerous courses featuring fugu showed how diverse the use of pufferfish can be in terms of tastes and textures. A journey.
A word for our main chef named Dobashi, who is friendly, fascinating to watch doing his craft and just in general very lovely. He and his team took really good care of us.
We appreciated muchly our experience here, and highly recommend it for a fugu experience but also just dining in general. The value for money is also...

A word for our chef, who is friendly, we hope we have had the chance to watch he personally doing his craft but unfortunately as we have two kids in the group and we were arranged in the private room. When the time we left the restaurant, Chef even came out side the restaurant and say goodbye to us.
Thank you Chef and Team.We appreciated our experience here, and highly recommend it for a fugu experience but also dining in general. The value for money is...
Read morePossibly the best fugu restaurant I have been in Tokyo (nay, Japan). The variety of cuts and preparations, with finesse and sophistication, is out of this world. I went for dinner and had the "Omakase Course", 9900 JPY. The course had all the musts of a good Japanese cuisine, we had a pickled dish, a sashimi, a boiled dish, a fried dish, a grilled dish, a rice dish, a desert. Special remark to the marinated grilled fugu that they do in front of you. An even more special remark to the fugu egg pizza. Either way, all food was very tasty, very beautifully served. The staff was impeccable, kind and attentive. The rhythm of the food being served was perfect, not too fast, not too slow. The mood of the restaurant is modern, but it sits on a 3-store building that was built in Showa 3, 97 years ago. Do take your time to look at the ceiling to enjoy the old-time atmosphere....
