Mother — Restaurant in Tokyo

The new(ISH), younger owner is rude and obnoxious, created difficulties when ordering and constantly talked back with passive aggressive and disrespectful undertones. It was a weird atmosphere even just ordering drinks and overall a very horrible and anger inducing service. She also casually overcharged me after an original mistake on her end.

Tbh I've never experienced anything like this before, she clearly had a gripe. I really would avoid this place, personally, I will never go back and always recommend others to do the same. Maybe that's what she wants; I've heard stories of her being rude to other none japanese, which is funny considering...

I went here with a friend, and we were told to stop playing cards at the bar. Apparently games are not usually played in bars throughout Japan. She seemed very concerned about the preservation of Japanese culture. It is for this reason that jazz, business suits, and motion picture films are also prohibited at this bar.

Extraordinarily rude and passive-aggressive manager. It seems she is anxious about how popular her bar is with foreigners and whether we will scare off Japanese locals, even while behaving nicely. She certainly seems to have familiarity with Western people, as she has a clear English accent, but that doesn't mean she's welcoming to them.

If foreigners are so unwanted at Mother, we should not go. For sure, I won't return. The only thing going for this place is its decor, yet you can certainly find other bars that are as well-decorated, but with...
