Best abura soba I've had in Tokyo!
This spot is located relatively close to Ueno, in an extremely tiny shop that is easily missed. The inside only has 5 stools all at a counter seat, so definitely do not come here with a group! That being said, this was some of the best abura soba I've tried in Tokyo. The toppings in the deluxe bowl included a ton of green onion and ground sesame seeds, along with chicken teriyaki, a poached egg and some fresh greens. After its all mixed up, theres an amazing shoyu taste that comes from the oil beneath which coats all the noodles. The teriyaki chicken is mildly sweet and you’d be begging for more, the noodles are extra bouncy and extra curly and thick. Great balance overall, highly recommended when you’re in Ueno.
