Siam Kitchen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Cold and unwelcoming people, impolite and insensitive. They don't mind keeping the door opened for their chit chat in a cold windy day though they seat you right next to the door (and even though there were still many warmer empty seats inside).

Back here today after quite sometime. Their food is not good as it used to be, being served with smaller amount but with the same price as before. Their water stinks, truly, as always.

They use a stupid new design of a bowl to serve their noodles, one with the inside quite narrow but so deep that you can't eat with their short spoons without feeling really irritated for such a nonsense challenge trying to handle noodles and liquid food without making a mess of your face and clothes during your entire meal.

Their counter table is so high with its chairs so low that it's natural for your noodle to go straight to your nostrils or eyes instead of your mouth. And they love to seat you on these terribly uncomfortable chairs when you go alone.

This is my last time here. Will never come...

カオマンガイ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This dish was really good! It was the first time I’ve had Kaomangai with tasty rice. Usually the rice isn’t tasty like Hainese chicken rice. Highly recommended!

パクブンファイディーン ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s hard to find places that serve 空芯菜 let alone good ones. This place does it well. A very tiny bit sweet, but quite negligible. Highly recommended

あさり ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Forgot the name of this dish. Asari was good. It tastes as good as it looked, but maybe it was overshadowed by the other dishes for me.

ラープムー ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ This dish was “ok”. It was very salty and strong, and has to be eaten with plain white rice to balance it out. I don’t think I would order it again.

ポピアッソ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ The harumaki were also great. Nothing to complain about, but I feel this kind of dish is good no matter where you go. Maybe putting a tiny bit more prawn i would be nice :)

Overall: Worth it! Definitely want to go back to try the curries and...

I don't remember eating in a worse place in my life. Lunch menu was horrible, it did not meet Thai standards at all, green curry had little flavor and the shrimp sour soup was so sour that I'd rather eat a lemon, nothing like Thailand. We were sitting on the second floor, just talking about writing a review to warn others to not waste their money when we heard rattling behind us even though no one else was there and suddenly saw a huge rat running around among the pots and pans behind us.
