Let me first clarify here, I'm not someone who came out of home for the first time. I've been traveling the world for over 2 decades and visited Japan itself for 7 years now. So I know what to expect and what not.
Absolutely be careful of this place! I went in reading good reviews and this is utter disappointment. Ordered a simple pepperoncini pasta... What did I expect? Olive oil, pepperoncini and at the most garlic in case they forgot it's aglio olio before pepperoncini. What did I get? Pasta with asparagus, some spinach probably, barely any pepperoncini... AND a bunch of white little fish! At least respect the original dishes and if you put your twist, mention that in the ingredients!
And now comes service... When I complained... First the waitress offered to change it, saying it will take 10 mins... Which I was ok with. Absolutely love their comfortable ambience with cosy music, the concept of open kitchen lets you view your food as it’s being prepared right up to how it is being garnished at the pass.
We ordered the pasta set and soups. The soup was quite special that tasted something like mushroom soup but it wasn’t, as it had different components in the soup. Couldn’t tell what it really was.🤣
The truffle cream pasta was well balanced, and adding prosciutto is recommended as it adds a gentle layer of saltiness to complement with the heaviness of the cream. Pasta was cooked al dente. Would recommend this anytime for cream pasta lovers.
Vongole was also good, could taste the clams that were relatively fresh along with the sauce that was reduced just right.
Expect a 15-20 minutes wait during peak hour before you are seated as the shop area is small, but the wait is surely worth it. Good pasta in harajuku area, and I’m surely...
