I am genuinely surprised that this store only has a 3.8 rating—it deserves at least a 4.5+. As a resident of Roppongi Hills and a regular visitor to this cafe, I felt compelled to write a fair review. After looking through the one-, two-, and three-star reviews, I noticed that many of the lower ratings came from individuals, mostly tourists, who seem to misunderstand or overlook the store’s policies.
Yes, there’s a mandatory one-drink order per person, a need to wait in line, and some time taken to serve. But all of these policies exist for good reasons—they ensure high-quality service and a smooth experience for everyone. I believe that respecting these rules is part of appreciating the effort that goes into maintaining the high standards here.
Speaking of quality, the cakes, sandwiches, and drinks are exceptional. The attention to detail and freshness of every item make it stand out. You’ll have a hard time finding the same level of care and taste elsewhere in Tokyo.
For anyone willing to appreciate the service, ambiance, and quality, this place is a gem....
Read moreI can’t accept to be force to order a drink even if you order a BLT sandwich “A la carte “ at ¥ 1.200. It’s completely illogical . 4,3 cotation is much too highl ! That establishment does not care at all about the health feeling of the customer . I had a coffee somewhere else prior to my visit to that coffee shop Herbs in Roppongi Hills and did not feel good to drink any other drinks . My order of one sandwich BLT was more than enough with the regular water which they are serving That attitude is much to strict on the restaurant business . I ordered finally a set at ¥ 1.600 including the BLT , 1/2 cake and tea against my will . It’s not the difference of ¥ 400 who makes me mad . My complain is that it does not match with the japanase hospitality at all . My partner selected a set at ¥ 1.600. More respect should be consider in such place for their customers . I don’t suggest that coffee shop herbs for that main reason . Not exactly the right...
Read moreI have been to the harbs in nyc and it’s somehow better there? They wouldn’t seat us even though they had three free tables, and after waiting, we were told they have a two drinks minimum order. Fair, you have that stated, but honestly makes no sense bc we wanted to get two cakes and one drink and they refused. They also have a no photo policy?? We then tried to go out lineup to get takeout but were shooed to the other side behind a Japanese uncle who arrived after us and was on the phone and could not decide what to order.
The entire time both waiters did not smile to us once but had so much patience to answer uncles questions on which cake was a better seller. They thought we couldn’t understand Japanese and made some comments about us as well.
After we finally got our cake it tasted worse than the banana cream cake we got in nyc so truly do not come here if you’re not Japanese. Their cake is mediocre and their staff...
