Decided to look for a nice dessert as a birthday treat and googled my way to Hibiya Hayashiya Shinbe. I love a good tiramisu and everything matcha so I decided to get the drink set with some cold sencha in the heat. The set came out pretty quickly and I was excited to try it. From the first bite I was sure this is one of the best desserts I've ever had. There's the high quality matcha dusting, incredibly tasty mascarpone layer, matcha ice cream and also a kind of citrus ice cream as well, with black beans and some biscuits layered in that were out of this world. Came here after dinner for dessert and ordered the strong matcha parfait. It was pretty tasty, the matcha fresh cream and the silky panna cotta goes well together and most of the toppings were good. There was some fruit in the middle that seems out of place, maybe it was intended as a palate cleanser. The bottom of the parfait is filled with a lot of matcha syrup; matcha flavor was strong but also too sweet. I also bought the warabi mochi strawberry; outside was jelly like with a whole strawberry coated with a rich bitter matcha paste.
