Lubina is a Spanish style restaurant located in the 2nd floor of Tokyo midtown Hibiya. The location of the restaurant is really convenient that it just took me about 3 to 4 minutes on foot from the Tokyo metro Hibiya station. When I went into the restaurant, I was pleased with their cleaning and comfortable environment and the elegant design. The waiter and the waitress were really polite and always with great smile on their face. About their food, it was so delicious that I was really amazing. For the “Pinchos” (a kind of appetizer in Span), I really recommend you “Sea Urchin Pudding” which is very fresh and special. When I ate it, the fresh smell of the Sea Urchin was melting in my mouth. For the Taps (the other kind of appetizer in Span), the Octopus was also delicious and fresh. Everybody knows that Span is really famous with their Paella so we also tried two kinds of the Paella. One was the classic seafood paella, “Mariscos” which included shrimp and several kinds of clams. For the other one, we tried “Arroz con Pato” which was the Paella with the duck. The restaurant made the flavor deeply seep into the Paellas so that both of the Paellas taste quite delicious and tasty which was perfect. I think the other kinds of Paella are really good as well so that I might order other kinds of Paella when I visit Lubina next time. In addition, the restaurant also serves lots kinds of alcohol drinks and non-alcohol drinks that you can order to match your foods. The environment of the restaurant is very suitable for dining together with your friends and family. I also saw that they have the seat in the balcony outside that if the weather is fine, your can also choose the seat outside to feel the natural breeze while having your...
Read moreDelicious Spanish Food Recently I visited this restaurant with some friends for dinner, the ambiance was captivating, the waiters were kind and they gave us detailed information about every dish in English and Japanese. For starter, we ate "sea urchin pudding" and some tapas, the presentation of both was very elegant. The taste of sea urchin was fresh and delicate, it reminds me of the seafood from home, and the tapas were crusty with a delicious taste of the oven-baked scallops. Then, we tried "Galician style octopus" and "Iberico Jamon" for sharing, the octopus had a herbal taste I could taste the paprika and herbs on it, its texture was tender just perfect to chew it, in the case of Iberico Jamon was perfect. For the main course, we tried three different types of paellas: Arroz Catalana, Arroz con pato, and Mariscos. Arroz Catalana has squid with black ink, shrimp, and garlic, it was something new for me but I was gladly surprised for the taste of the squids as it was really zesty. Arroz con pato dazzle my eyes as it was riveting, the duck was tasty with earthy flavor porcini, the rice was creamy and savory. Mariscos was a classy paella that it tastes like a real paella, it has red shrimps, clams and mussel. The taste was fresh and the texture gooey, the taste reminds me of family weekends at the beach. For dessert, we have sweet churros with cinnamon, they were very syrupy, juicy and yummy. In addition, they have a vast selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, I drank red sangria and I have to say that the cinnamon was a great choice, the taste was sweet, refreshing and fruity. This is a perfect place for a casual date, business meeting, and...
Read moreIt’s been a long time since the last time I went for a Spanish dinner in Japan. While having a dinner date with my friends on last Wednesday, my friend has suggested me this Spanish restaurant in Hibiya. The restaurant is located inside Hibiya Midtown and it only took me 3 minutes walk from Metro station. Once we entered, the staff will help you to hang your coat or scarf on the clothes rack, what a careful services! :) My friend was familiar with this restaurant and I just let her to decide what to order. After serving us the delicious fresh bread, the appetizer we had was Uni pudding and foie gras. I love uni so much so I have started with the pudding first, the uni is creamy in texture and has its oceanic taste, it’s so good that I have ordered one more dish! For the foie gras, it is in thick dense creamy type and very match with the French bread. Before we had our main course, the original cocktail were served and the one I enjoyed is called “Pistachio”, it has a strong taste of amontillado, a Spanish herb wine which I never tried before and it is very new tasting experience to me. We finished the dinner with the Spanish signature dish, paella, the seafood on top is very fresh and I can taste that the rice also has absorbed the seafood sauce, it is the most delicious paella I have ever tried before! Overall, you can enjoy the beautiful Tokyo night view while having Spanish cuisines and the place is so cozy that I would like to stay a longer time. Next time if you would like to try Spanish dish in Tokyo, Lubina is definitely a...
