Horrible Service and Racist staff.

Today my partner and I went to this establishment in the hopes of eating some good food. Unfortunately we picked the wrong establishment to go to.

We have been to Japan 3 times now and have never experienced this kind of service ever. If we were told from the beginning this establishment was not foreigner friendly we would have happily understood and left. However, the menu was written in English as well and we were told to go upstairs to be seated.

When we followed these instructions the lady upstairs, refused to look at us and proceeded to seat everyone else around us. So my partner and I sat down at the closest table near the door (as we weren’t sure where to sit and some people seemed to have just picked their tables. The table we sat on had 4 seats and we were then quickly told to move as there were only two of us (which was fine), but then another couple who were Japanese came in AFTER US (there were only two of them and they sat at the table we were previously sitting at) and they weren’t told to move.

Then the staff started serving people (including the couple who came in AFTER us) and completely IGNORED us. We waited patiently until the staff started handing out the tables around us drinks and cutlery and we still were ignored, so we left.

It is fine if you did not want us in your restaurant, but this should have been communicated instead you taking steps to humiliate and ignore us. Don’t waste our time especially when we were extremely polite.

If you are a foreigner especially a person of colour, DO NOT EAT HERE, save your time and money and eat at the other establishments who are so nice and welcoming. If you are spending money somewhere you shouldn’t be made to feel like you...

I visited the restaurant on the 9th June 2020, dinner time during my visit to Tokyo. I saw it has a good rating on google thats why i give it a try. Never did i expect that i will be treated badly as a customer in Japan.

Dear Owner, Please educate your staff, check the timetable, who is in on the day i visited. I came in and ordered as usual. As i was in a rush, i told him that please go ahead with the food order, i will take a look at the drink. He just take away the menu, complaining with his mask on, and just walk away. There was another staff about to come to my table to give me the side dish, yet he told her, no need and take the side dish away. He was so rude. I ask my friend, what did we do wrong? Is it because we order too little? My friend said, we ordered 3-4pax portion for 2. So, there is no reason for him to be angry.

This is my first google review ever, i am just too upset and i hope it wont happen to other customer. It just ruined my last...

I have visited this restaurant once. The interior is solid, and the food tastes great. I can highly recommend the lunch menu, which includes a variety of side dishes (though some were a bit too sweet for my liking) and rice. I chose the Kimchi Tofu Jjigae lunch set.

I would love to give the restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately, the service was lacking. While the staff wasn't rude, they seemed a bit indifferent and cold. The cashier was...
