Located a hop, a skip or a drunken crawl from Shibuya Station, the HUB is nothing more and nothing less, A STANDING PUB. A mix of foreign/Japanese regulars, tourists, salaryman, expats, and other unidentifiable beings. You know you have arrived when you see drunken dudes curled up with grocery bags hanging from there earlobes lol Anyways, enough foocking around, the HUB has a a good happy hour Monday thru Fri., the place starts popping around 9pm, dancing is prohibited, most of the people are approachable, they make a good GIN TONIC, good selection of Alcohol and draft beer, Credit card is accepted, they speak basic English, they have a non-smoking area and the smoking area is easy to identify by the little cloud that forms on the ceiling lol they have basic food like nuts, beef jersey, fish and chips, pizza, etc...The HUB is a good starting point or ending point for a night. Read moreYeah it’s just a Hub….millions of them all over with a similar vibe. But this one feels different. HUGELY international, almost like you are in a different country to Japan. Very busy, few seats and if you want them, you need to get there early. But lots of standing space, they have cleared most of the tables and stools away to accommodate the large amount of customers, in effect a large 立ち飲み (with normal bar prices). Food is the same you get at every Hub of course….ok for what it is but could be better. Good atmosphere on a Friday night, good place to start...
