A Hidden Gem for Tokyo's Best Okonomiyaki! Nestled on a quiet side street in Tokyo, I recently stumbled upon a delightful, no-frills restaurant that's now my go-to for okonomiyaki. If you're craving this savory Japanese pancake, you absolutely have to seek out this spot. From the moment you slide open the door, you're greeted with the inviting sizzle and aroma of the griddle. The restaurant is small and intimate, with a handful of counter seats overlooking the teppan where the magic happens. It feels incredibly authentic, like walking into a local's favorite haunt. I opted for the Osaka okonomiyaki (pork and egg), and it was simply sublime. Each ingredient was perfectly cooked, from the tender strips of pork to the abundant, sweet cabbage. The exterior was beautifully crispy, while the inside remained wonderfully soft and flavorful. What truly sets this place apart is their homemade okonomiyaki sauce – it's rich, tangy, and perfectly balanced, complementing the dish without overpowering it. A generous drizzle of creamy Japanese mayonnaise, a sprinkle of dancing katsuobushi flakes, and vibrant aonori completed the masterpiece. Beyond the fantastic food, the chef's passion is evident in every dish. They prepare each okonomiyaki with care and precision, and it's a joy to watch. The service is warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience, this isn't it. But if you want an authentic, incredibly delicious, and heartwarming taste of true Japanese comfort food, especially okonomiyaki, this small Tokyo eatery is an absolute must-visit. You'll leave satisfied and planning your...

Arrived without a reservation & the staff were very kind to get us in after 10 minutes There is seating around the cooking counter, where the guys were very chatty with the customers. And separate seating tables. Ordered the potato salad which was lovely - then the Hiroshima style okonomyaki & Osaka style. Both were really tasty. We ended with an egg, cheese & pork omelette - all the food was great & staff very friendly & helpful.

Tip - Google took us to the wrong side of the building, so if you can't see the big white lantern, go around...

This restaurant is exceptionally good. I didn't know what to expect at first, but they walked you through a few set options and made recommendations based on your taste. I am a big fan of kimche as well and had a few kimche and pork dishes. Everything was great, and I highly recommend that you visit if you are in the area. The staff was friendly, the service was quick and the beer was good. I rarely give 5 star reviews and this one was...
