My two visits felt like night and day so I'm honestly pretty conflicted. I'll leave my first review in tact.
1st visit: I had a good time, and enjoyed my meal and drink. It was interesting to find that one of them knew of an isedol song since I'm interested in vtubers and appreciated the interactions.
As for my 2nd visit, I felt very rushed before being able to consider my options. On one hand, I understand they were closing soon but on the other hand, I specifically visited this place again because I wanted to order a specific performance from someone who wasn't there that day. That's fine, I didn't remember the names but knew if I could look through what songs were under who was available, that there were other options I'd be interested in that I remembered seeing last time.
Before I could finish doing that, I had to first order something. The option to request a performance (either singing or dancing) is always bundled with some other set. This is where I felt I was stupid, I was pressured into ordering a performance set before I even decided on who or what I wanted. The fault lies on me for that decision. It would have made more sense to just get a simple drink and take my time looking at what was available even if that ends up costing a tiny bit more if I end up requesting a performance.
Now I have to pick someone. After looking through each of the available maid's list of songs, I finally decided on someone and a song only to be told that person wasn't there anymore. Well okay, I'm running out of options and basically spent my entire time there looking at the menu and song lists instead of enjoying the experience.
One thing I don't understand is why they insist you pick someone for a picture so early into the visit, most of the time before I even know who is who. It takes me forever to choose because I literally had no reason to pick anyone at that point. For both of my visits, I found a reason for who I want to take a picture with only after I already picked a random person to take a picture with. If it's to commemorate your visit, then it makes much more sense to pick near the end. I was asked to first pick someone for a picture before I even picked someone a performance, let alone see it.
I finally found a song that I'd like to see performed. It was enjoyable, also the drink and snack that comes with the set was fine as well.
Overall, a much worse experience compared to my first visit but I'll take it as a learning experience.
Food: it's fine, that's all I have to say on it
Service: Varies quite a bit.. Some of the people there are quite pleasant and enjoyable but a couple were a bit too insistent and focused on moving things along.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere can be fun when carried by the audience but it relies heavily on audience participation during the performances which can be inconsistent. Thankfully, the other maids also clap along to make it easier for others to join in if they don't...
Read moreI've always wanted to visit a maid café, as I am fascinated by maids, idols and otaku culture in general. I gave this one a try since many visitors included in their reviews that the maids spoke English and that this café would be a good one for a first-timer as well.
Not being the most extraverted person, I was hesitant about going in at first (I've already done this elsewhere, I'm sorry everyone; it's a me-issue), but the maids have been welcoming me very cheerfully. As I came in right after they opened, I was the only one for a bit and everyone introduced themselves to me and we had a little chat about where I was from, why I decided to visit them et cetera. My nervousness never quite subsided, but I felt way more comfortable after the first few minutes. I've had less trouble in doing the chants and spells than I thought I would.
The food was good, but not amazing. A few people wrote that the omurice was a bit dry and I can confirm this was the case for me as well. (Maybe I messed up during the spell?)
After I was finished, we took a photo and I could decide if I wanted to watch a performance from Yayoi, who mainly served me at that point. All the maids have different songs they can perform and I was lucky to pretty much know all of the songs in her lineup. I was choosing Snow Halation by μ's and she made a flawless performance as far as I could tell.
I'm glad I've made the decision to come here, I've had a great time here and definitely recommend this café to anyone who always wanted to try out a maid café. Thanks to Yayoi and all the maids for the good and...

They do try hard to get more google reviews. They did ask for this while I was in the cafe.
So the rating you see here may be a bit skewed, but not by much.
I went there on a Wednesday afternoon at about 3pm and stayed before 6pm, waiting for airplane back home.
It was not busy at all during this time. At the same time probably 2 to 4 tables are occupied while they have dozens of tables. In total during the 3 hours I saw about 2 Japanese customers and 10+ from other countries.
Some staff can speak ok English while others tried hard. They do have English menus. Maids who can't really speak much English have some whiteboards written with pre-prepared questions in English so they can point at and help with orders.
The food is average and drink is OK. They do have to operate under a restaurant license but what you get is the maid cafe experience. So don't judge on the taste. It's the moe moe magic :)
Overall I think it's a great place for your first time maid cafe visit.
