If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind beverage experience in Tokyo, Iyoshi Cola in Shibuya is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the city, this shop offers an artisanal take on a beloved classic: cola. My visit here was nothing short of incredible, and I’m excited to share what makes this spot so special.
From the moment you step into Iyoshi Cola, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between modern chic and nostalgic charm. The decor is minimalist yet stylish, with subtle nods to traditional Japanese aesthetics. The vibe is calm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax amid the bustling streets of Shibuya.
Craft Cola unlike anything you’ve ever tasted! Iyoshi Cola’s craft cola is a masterpiece. Forget the overly sweet, mass-produced sodas you’re used to. Their version is a symphony of flavors, blending spices, citrus, and natural sweetness in perfect harmony. The first sip was a revelation, with the layers of flavor gradually unfolding. The balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet is just perfect, leaving a refreshing finish that lingers pleasantly on...
Read moreThere was a long queue when we visited. We ordered the Dreamy Flavor. The craft cola at Iyoshi is exquisite and tasty! If you have a sensitive taste buds, you can taste the herbs and pepper. Overall, it really taste like how a normal cola should taste like, yet slightly different. It gives me a warm and positive fuzzy feeling even though the drink is cold. Recommend to try at least once! They also have a Japan Edition which we didn’t get to try but I bought the syrup home! There was even a vending machine outside the shop if you don’t want to spend time to queue. However, we noticed most of the items were sold out at the vending machine by the time we arrived. So you can see the shop is really popular especially with tourists. The shop also provides some limited number of seats in the shop to enjoy their drinks. Most people would pick to-go or drink outside the store. One more thing to take note is that their shop is cashless! We paid using a foreign prepaid debit card...

I loved it so much I went back for seconds during the trip and even bought the syrup to take home. We visited twice, both times in the evening around 19.00~, and there was no queue at all.
After trying both the Japan edition (yuzu) cola and the dream cola, the dream cola was the clear winner for my group. It’s a perfectly balanced mix of cinnamon and spice—aromatic without being overly sweet, while still staying true to what makes cola, well, cola. If you’re not into those spiced, fall-inspired flavors, the yuzu option is refreshing, though it felt a bit generic to me. We didn’t try the milk-ola because of lactose intolerance (not sure if they use lactose-free), but the drink looks hella good!
This place is a must-return, as the freshly added ingredients and spices elevate the flavor even further when you order in person....
