At first sight around lunch-time there is always a very long line of salarymen and women waiting to squeeze in to get their fill of pasta. So you sit down, the staff will serve you a cup or tea and when you ready, you tell them what you want. Now the menu is above you and there are like framed pictures of the pasta with a description of it and the price. Everything is in Japanese so it's impossible to communicate with them (unless you can speak Japanese) so what I do is, take a picture of the food I want and just show them the picture. When you do this they will automatically give you the normal medium size so if you want large size just say 'Omori" and that means large size. Even the large size leaves you wanting more. On the table they have Tabasco, sprinkle Parmesan cheese and salt/pepper. The pasta is very simple in preparation and the quality of the ingredients are very simple too but for some reason the taste is very satisfactory. I won't say it's amazing or mind-blowing but it's just simple and tasty pasta. Also the prices are all around 550-800 yen depending on the size and it's fast service. There is also free wifi if you have AU.

Saw a cockroach crawling at the stove wall and the chef used the same white towel that he’s using the hold the wok handle to crush the cockroach and continued cooking nonchalantly 🥲 Cleanliness is highly questionable. I’m a tourist and I chanced upon this via this great google reviews when I was in the vicinity! Reached 10mins after opening and I got a seat immediately. But shortly after me, there was a short queue which is quick to clear. There’s no English menu. Just order Japonis their classic or take a picture of the random photo of their food and show it to the cook. Payment via cash only, to be paid at the start of the counter after the meal. Taste is average at best and it’s not tasty at all😂 I guessed it’s popular amongst locals due to the price and ease. Tourists do not need to waste time to queue.

Spaghetti Japone is a famous “romespa” spot under Ginza INZ 3. Even on weekdays you may wait about 30–40 minutes, but it’s cheap and big. Most people (about 70%) order “Jariko” – soy-based pasta with shrimp, pork, tomato and shiso. I ate “China” with zha-cai and vegetables – lighter but still tasty. Counter seats only, cash is safest, no reservation. Good when you want a big, old-school Tokyo pasta in Ginza.

November 2017, December 2017

I wanted to try Japanese Style Pasta and this place was well rated. Went for a late lunch. There was no line, but almost every seat was occupied. I ordered their best seller.

Jyarico (ジャリコ): Quite good, although the pasta was slightly overcooked and a little too salty. Was very interesting to see how they pull-off a soy sauce based pasta and they did great. Although, it was very disappointing to get served non al dente pasta from a place that specializes in it...

(2nd Visit)

Napolitan: The main pasta I see at diners in Japan, wanted to give the one here a shot. It's a very simple tomato (ketchup?) pasta, but tasty enough to not get bored of it with a single serving. Again was not al dente...

Conclusion: Enjoyed my Japanese Style pasta would love to try out more flavors.

Would I go back? Yes, hopefully they get the pasta al dente next time.

Do I recommend this place? Yeah, come try out these flavors if you haven't already.

Note: As they don't have a website and I wasn't able to find a complete menu around the net, so I'll post an English one here:

Japanese Style 和風 -Mentaiko 明太子 (Salt Flavor 塩味): Mentaiko, shiso, shiitake, onion, nori, Japanese mustard spinach -Japone ジャポネ (Soy Sauce Flavor 醤油味): Meat, shiitake, onion, Japanese mustard spinach -Jyarico ジャリコ (Soy Sauce Flavor 醤油味): Shrimp, meat, shiso, tomato, shiitake, onion, Japanese mustard spinach -Umenori 梅のり (Soy Sauce 醤油味 or Salt 塩味): Umeboshi paste, nori, shiso, shiitake, onion, Japanese mustard spinach

Chinese Style 中華風 -China チャイナ (Soy Sauce 醤油味 or Salt 塩味): Zha cai (搾菜, ザーサイ), shiitake, onion, Japanese mustard spinach

Note2: Most of the dishes are available in three portions of: Regular
